FORMAT: TRAILER GENRE: HORROR (PSYCHOLOGICAL/SUPERNATURAL) TENSE: PRESENT INTENDED AUDIENCE: 16 -21 (MALE & FEMALE) (RATED 15A) SYNOPSIS Jinni, a spirit formed from the flames of Hell, comes to Earth to lure sinners to their death. She takes the form of an 18 year old, first year, university student and befriends her fellow university mates. Her victims are marked to be killed when she gives them the kiss of death and they subsequently begin to experience symptoms of psychosis. Daniel, the misogynist, is enthralled by her physical beauty and after an almost sexual encounter he begins to hear voices that convince him to slice off his genitals. Mary, a promiscuous girl, begins to hear voices after Jinni consoles with a friendly kiss on the cheek, after she was crying, thus causing herself to be mysteriously impaled in the mouth. The deaths are perceived as suicides by other students but Joseph, a boy who’s generally popular, hardworking and studying religious studies, becomes suspicious. He starts to make connections with Jinni and the deaths and after an encounter with her where they almost kiss and she refuses he puts two and two together. He invites Jinni to house over the holidays and Jinni sees that his mother has cheated on Joseph’s father with several men. She kisses his mother, as she leaves their house. By the time Joseph pieces everything together it’s too late and he watches his mother commit suicide by jumping out the window and falling backwards onto a scaffolding pole, killing her. As he looks for Jinni, she is no longer on Earth and no record of her being in their world exists. CHARACTERS JINNI: A spirit from the underworld who has the power to possess people’s bodies and kill them through the ‘Kiss of Judas’. She is extremely physically attractive, having Arabian heritage, tan skin and long dark hair. She is rather omniscient and all knowing. She finishes the narration. MARY: The first girl who befriends Jinni and brings her to all the parties. She is promiscuous and stumbles back to their accommodation every night drunk and in hysterics. She fair-skinned and materialistic. After a heartfelt conversation, Jinni gives her an endearing kiss on the cheek. DANIEL: Daniel is a popular, charismatic and attractive boy at their university. He is misogynistic and constantly degrades women. He and Mary appear to be in on and off relationship but he constantly verbally abuses her. After attempting to seduce Jinni, he is lured to his death. JOSEPH: He is the nice guy who survives. He is honest and a virgin and proves to be the most genuine of characters. However, one day he invites Jinni over & she finds out his mother is a cheater and is traumatised by his mother’s apparent suicide. He narrates the story.
